Your career

Before I joined provide in 2021, I worked for an international corporate events agency in a business development/account management role. However, the events industry was sadly hit hard by the pandemic and the agency had to close at the end of 2020, which then led me to join the contracts team at Provide in January 2021.

When did you become a governor?

I became a governor in July 2021.

Why did you choose to become a governor?

Provide being an employee-owned CIC interested me, I love the fact that the members are at the heart of the organisation. The plans to develop Provide are exciting and I feel it is important to support this. I enjoy meeting and engaging with people, and listening to their stories, interests, and views.

What do you hope to achieve during your time as a governor?

I am keen to develop member engagement and to be an approachable governor who is happy and willing to represent our members. Alongside my interests in member engagement, I aim to encourage and champion charitable giving.

Any interesting facts about you? E.g. hobbies, passions, interests

I am passionate about raising awareness and championing inclusion for the learning disability community especially young people and adults with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities). I am proud to be a trustee for a charity called Frozen Light and a governor for Lexden Springs Residential Special School.

I also love running, half marathons and marathons are my favourite distances, I have run the London Marathon three times and hope to continue taking part in races for many years to come!
