Mid and South Essex Recovery College is delighted to announce its newest programme of free mental health and wellbeing courses taking place across Mid and South Essex during February and March.

These welcoming and inclusive sessions provide a safe, supportive environment where people can develop new skills, grow in confidence and connect with others on their recovery journey. Every course is co-produced and thoughtfully designed to promote mental health recovery, enhance wellbeing and encourage personal development.

What’s on offer?

A wide range of online and in-person courses are taking place across Braintree, Halstead, Chelmsford, Billericay, Maldon, Southminster, South Woodham Ferrers and Wickford, alongside a comprehensive online programme.

  • Understanding Anxiety – practical tools and strategies to manage anxiety
  • Men and Mental Health – exploring men’s experiences of mental health and creating space for open conversation
  • The New Me: Living Well with Mental Health – building confidence and focusing on recovery goals
  • Digital Wellbeing – creating a healthier relationship with technology
  • Introduction to Volunteering – exploring volunteering as part of recovery
  • Finding and Retaining Employment – support with employability skills
  • Therapeutic Filmmaking – a creative four-session course

Who can attend?

  • Anyone aged 18+
  • No referral needed
  • Free to attend
  • Open to people living in Mid and South Essex
