Provide worked with Essex County Council to launch the Essex Welfare Service in March as part the response to Covid-19.  Since then it has recruited thousands of volunteers to help support vulnerable residents across the county. To build on this success and expand its offer to residents it relaunching today as the Essex Wellbeing Service.
With Volunteers continuing to have an active role the Essex Wellbeing Service will link Essex residents with the practical, emotional and social care support they need as they adapt to ‘the new normal’ as lockdown eases.
In addition to arranging help with everyday tasks, the service acts as a single point of access to connect people with mental health support, Citizen’s Advice Services, Carers Support, Learning Disability Support, the Children’s and Families Hub and ‘Live Well, Link Well’ that supports people who are feeling isolated.  The service is being further developed to offer the stop smoking programmes as well as workplace health and healthy lifestyle advice which are currently offered by Provide.
The website for Essex Welfare Service, has been rebranded as Essex Wellbeing Service. The website will be developed further by Provide and its digital partner Priority Digital Health to become a powerful digital platform which supports all Essex residents with easy access and referral to services they need.
The helpline for Essex Wellbeing Service is already live and residents can access services immediately by calling 0300 303 9988 or visiting www.essexwellbeingservice.co.uk
