People with Pulmonary Fibrosis are being invited to attend a new, monthly support group in Chelmsford to help them manage the condition and socialise with others who have the condition.

The Mid-Essex Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group is part of a national network formed by the charity, Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.

The aim is to help people deal with Pulmonary Fibrosis by bringing them together and keeping them in touch with the latest medical and social developments.

The support group is a new group who meet once a month with alternate business and social meetings. The group welcomes anyone who is affected by Pulmonary Fibrosis, patients, family members, friends or carers.

The business meetings include committee reports, group discussions and a speaker and take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Springfield Parish Centre in Chelmsford. Refreshments are available during the event and there is also a raffle.

The social meetings are more informal with lunch-time visits planned to local venues including local hotels and garden centres and allows attendees to enjoy a chat and a nice meal.

For more information and to submit interest in attending the group visit the Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis Website.
