We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lucy Wightman as the new Chief Executive Officer and Chief Nurse of Provide Health, commencing in role from Tuesday 2 April 2024.Lucy’s appointment replaces Stephanie Dawe who retires in April 2024.

Lucy joins us from Essex County Council, where she has held the post of Director Wellbeing, Public Health and Communities since April 2022. Prior to Essex County Council, Lucy worked for several years as Joint Director of Public Health in North and West Northamptonshire.

Lucy Wightman said: “It is an exciting time to join Provide Community as we look to grow our service offer through partnership working and I hope my diverse clinical and public health background adds value to that vision.

“I know I will be joining an amazing group of dedicated colleagues and wider services who pride themselves, as I do, in the quality and inclusivity of the services they provide through care, innovation and compassion.”

Lucy began her career in nursing and remains a registered nurse, as well as being a Public Health Consultant. She completed an MSc in Public Health and an MSc in Leadership for Health and Social Care. This experience has directed her career which has focused on improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities at both the individual and community level.
