We are delighted to announce a milestone achievement for the 2023-2024 financial year, having donated a total of £851,000 to community groups and charities in Essex and across other parts of the UK where our services are delivered.

This significant contribution underscores our commitment to transforming lives and supporting vital causes within their communities.

On Thursday 23 May 2024, we hosted a special afternoon tea event at our office in Chelmsford, Essex, to honour four exceptional charities: Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse, Age Well East, Kids Inspire and Action for Family Carers.

Each of these charity organisations has recently received up to £30,000 through strategic grant funding from Provide Community, with support from the independent charitable trust, Essex Community Foundation, to further their invaluable work in the community.

Mark Heasman, Group Chief Executive at Provide Community, said: “We are immensely proud to support these remarkable charities, each of which play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals and families in our communities. They also embody the spirit of compassion, a value we hold dear at Provide Community.

“Thank you to Essex Community Foundation for facilitating the grants, and to our colleagues, who were given the opportunity to vote for the four charities from a list of seven who had made grant applications.

“Bringing representatives from the four charities who have received funding through our most recent strategic grant initiative has been really inspiring today. It has been great to come together to celebrate their achievements, hear how our donations will be used and discuss further collaboration opportunities.”

Zoe Brampton, Grants Manager at Essex Community Foundation, said, “Local charities and voluntary groups are under significant pressure due to the rising cost of living. The generous funding from Provide Community will enable these four groups to continue offering their vital services, alongside managing increased demand from those who are in need of support.”
