Essex Wellbeing Service has published its Annual Report for 2025-2026, showcasing the difference the service and its partners have made to the health and wellbeing of people across Essex.
Commissioned by Essex County Council and led by Provide Community, Essex Wellbeing Service brings together Provide Community, Age Well East, Rural Community Council of Essex, HCRG Care Group and Priority Digital Health, alongside more than 150 Care Navigation+ partner organisations.
Together, the alliance provides free advice and support to help residents improve their health, maintain their independence and access the right services before their needs reach crisis point.
During 2025-2026, the service:
- Delivered 45,501 NHS Health Checks, exceeding its annual target
- Supported more than 5,000 people to stop smoking
- Helped 3,981 unpaid carers and made 1,245 referrals for further support
- Handled more than 70,000 enquiries through its Single Point of Access
- Supported more than 10,000 weight management referrals
- Enabled 27,310 acts of kindness through Kinder Essex
- Engaged 174 employers through Essex Working Well
- Delivered social value outcomes 11.9% ahead of the four-year target
The report also shares powerful stories from residents whose lives have been improved through health checks, befriending, community support and preventative health services.
Since launching in 2022, the Essex Wellbeing Service has supported more than 160,000 residents, demonstrating the value of strong local partnerships and accessible, person-centred support.
