Adult community speech and language services in mid and south Essex are integrating, creating a single point of referral and dedicated phone line for speech and language patients. This service transformation has been four years in the making, designing new service pathways with therapists and service user groups, collating feedback about improving access and treatment pathways for those with speech and language therapeutic needs.
This change has come about through three organisations; Essex Partnership NHS foundation Trust, North East London foundation Trust and Provide Community Interest Company, sharing learning and resources to reduce waiting times for treatment and improve the therapeutic pathways available to those living in mid and south Essex.
What this means for me:
- From the 24th February adult speech and language therapy services will have a new contact number 01702 578613 and a new email address provide.mseadultspeechtherapy@nhs.net
- For those already accessing speech and language therapy your current treatment programme and therapist will remain the same to ensure there is no disruption to your care
- How patient data will be securely stored has changed, and our privacy notice has been updated accordingly to align with GDPR.
