We are delighted to announce that our Group Chief Executive, Mark Heasman, has been honoured with a Highly Commended certificate for Public and Third Sector Director of the Year at the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD) Director of the Year Awards 2024.

The awards, held annually, celebrate the achievements of outstanding business leaders who excel in areas such as innovation, sustainability, equity, diversity, and inclusion. They recognise the core leadership principles of mindset, knowledge and skills. Each application is scrupulously reviewed by a panel of volunteer judges.

Mark’s recognition is a testament to his exceptional leadership skills and unwavering commitment to the public and third sector. Mark has been instrumental in fostering an award-winning culture of inclusivity, innovation, and community engagement within the company. His leadership has not only driven operational excellence but also ensured that it remains at the forefront of pioneering healthcare initiatives.

Speaking about the honour, Mark said, “It is an incredible privilege to receive this recognition, but the credit also goes to the talented and dedicated teams across the Provide Community Group that I have the pleasure of working with every day. Our mission has always been to make a lasting positive impact on our communities, and this achievement reinforces our commitment to continuing this vital work.”

In the public and third sector category, leadership is critical to good public governance, including good planning, efficiency, transparency and accountability. Along with directors of third sector organisations, the award was open to leaders of public services, including public agencies, national bodies and government departments.

The awards ceremony took place during a lunchtime event in at The Grand Hotel in Birmingham on Friday 4 October 2024, bringing together top executives from a range of sectors to celebrate their contributions to the business community and beyond.
