We are delighted to announce a donation of £16,120 to Zarach, a national charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and families living in poverty. The funds were raised as part of an initiative to encourage participation in our annual colleague survey, with £20 donated for every completed survey in 2024.
The donation will support Zarach’s mission to end child bed poverty in England by providing essential items such as beds, bedding, and other resources to children in need and ensuring that children have a better chance to engage at school and break the cycle of poverty. This aligns with our own mission of transforming lives within the communities it serves.
Mark Heasman, CEO of Provide Community, said: “This initiative is a fantastic way for us to combine our commitment to our colleagues with our passion for giving back to the community.
“The feedback we receive through the colleague survey gives us fresh perspectives on how we can improve as an organisation, while the donation will make a tangible difference to people’s lives.
“Supporting Zarach in their important mission resonates deeply with our own values as a community-focused organisation.”
We are proud of our long-standing commitment to making a positive impact. As an employee owned, community interest company, we have donated over £4 million to charities, education, and community organisations since we were founded in 2011.
The annual colleague survey has not only helped shape the way Provide Community operates but has also contributed to meaningful charitable efforts over the past three years, including:
• £14,940 donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal
• 664 meals provided to the homeless through partnerships with the Salvation Army and Sanctus
• 631 trees planted in the Provide Grove in collaboration with the Evergreen Fund
Zarach’s ‘Lift Children Out of Bed Poverty’ campaign highlights the harsh realities faced by many families across the country and the importance of providing children with the basic essentials to thrive. This donation is another step toward helping those in need and reflects Provide Community’s ongoing commitment to creating a better future for everyone.
