Two community nurses who work for Provide have been awarded the prestigious, ‘Queen’s Nurse’ title by the Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI). The title is recognition that they have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to the highest standards of patient care.

The new Queen’s Nurses are: Sharon Dines, Facilitator for End of Life Care and Heather Joslin, Senior Locality Manager for Maldon, South Woodham Ferrers and the Dengie.  Heather is also the lead for community urgent care services.

They were presented with their awards at the QNI’s Award Ceremony on 30 October 2017.

Sharon Dines, End of Life Facilitator at Provide said:

‘We both feel really honoured to be Queen’s Nurses and really enjoyed the ceremony, particularly as we were able to take our daughters as quests.  My daughter Kya began her nurse training in September and Heather’s daughter Melissa is a qualified nurse and also works for Provide.”

Jane Corser, Executive Clinical and Operations Director at Provide said:

“My heartfelt congratulations to Sharon and Heather, they have both shown exceptional leadership skills and are passionate about ensuring that our teams deliver the highest standards of patient care.

“As Queen’s Nurses they will inspire others and will be able to share their skills and expertise more widely. They are both expert professionals who make a vital contribution to the health and wellbeing of those who use our services.”
