Provide Community is delighted to announce that two members of its workforce recently attended and spoke at Rewired 2023, the UK’s most vibrant digital health conference that attracts an audience from around the globe.
Provide Community’s Director of Innovation and Community Resilience, Kez Spelman, and Digital Innovation Project Manager Steve Woodford travelled, to Birmingham as representatives of the Innovation team at Provide Community.
During their presentation, Kez and Steve introduced an audience of digital health professionals and enthusiasts to the RealWear headsets that have recently been successfully trialled in the organisation’s Podiatry Service.
Operating as a hands-free device, the headsets allow clinicians to screen appointments in real-time and access immediate support from remote colleagues. Primarily used as a communication device, the headsets also have the capability to take photos of the patients which are transferred immediately to the remote clinician’s computer.

Across the two-day conference, ReWired gave members of the digital health community the opportunity to learn about a range of innovative technology, the latest trends in the healthcare industry, and how digital health can become a catalyst for positive change in health and social care.
Kez and Steve took the opportunity to make new connections, network with like-minded individuals, and took the time to inspire others to make a difference in the UK digital health sector.
