On Friday 7 November 2025, a van departed from St Peter’s Hospital in Maldon, loaded with essential medical equipment and supplies, generously donated by Provide Community.
The items, though past their UK expiry dates, remain safe and fully functional, and will be delivered to the Ukraine border to help families and healthcare teams working in challenging conditions.
Working closely with partner organisations coordinating humanitarian aid, Provide Community has ensured that these supplies will reach areas where they are most needed.
The shipment includes a range of medical consumables and equipment that will make a real difference to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
Mark Heasman, Group Chief Executive, at Provide Community, said: “As a community interest company, we are committed to supporting wellbeing both locally and globally.
“We are proud that equipment no longer suitable for use in our healthcare settings can be repurposed to help those in urgent need.”
The initiative reflects Provide Community’s wider mission to make a positive impact beyond healthcare services, demonstrating compassion, collaboration, and a shared commitment to supporting people wherever they are.
